The origins of Lago Scuro date back to a period between 1600 and 1800; the farm consists of several locations articulated in different spaces: the church, the farmer house, the main mansion, the neo-gothic courtyard, but also the barns for horses and cows, and again, at some distance, the peasants' houses.
A garden full of oaks, hazel trees, magnolia trees and other woody species, fringes the rear part of the farm, where the ancient tower, still intact and majestic, maintains the atmosphere of the ancient manor immersed in an oasis of natural peace. This sensation is preserved by this magic place.
Lago Scuro farm was born for the will of Fabio and Paola in 1990, when they decided to come back doing the real agriculture: organic, sustainable and high quality agriculture.
Their son Luca and his wife Federica newly entered in this project contributing to make this farm a place of ongoing transformation and innovation.
